Nutty Flapjack

 

Ingredients 4 oz Margarine
2 tbs Golden Syrup
4 oz Sugar
2 oz Porridge
2 oz Self Raising Flour
3 oz Crushed Cornflakes

 

Method

Heat the margarine, golden syrup and sugar in a pan.   Allow to cool a little and then add the porridge, self raising flour and crushed cornflakes.

Roll out to a quarter inch thick on a greased swiss roll tin.  Bake at 375F for 20 minutes.

Another popular favorite with my father.  How he kept so thin I will never know.
