Crunchies

 

Ingredients 2oz Lard
2 oz Margarine
3 oz Caster Sugar
2 tbs Golden Syrup
few drops Vanilla Essence
4 oz Self Raising Flour
2 oz Porridge Oats
To decorate icing sugar glace cherries

 

Method

Melt the lard, margarine, sugar and golden syrup in a pan and allow to cool a little.  Add to the vanilla essence, flour and porridge oats.

Roll out to a quarter inch thick and cut into shapes.  Spread on a greased baking tray and bake at 375F for 20 minutes.
