Oat Biscuits 2

Ingredients 4 oz Plain flour
4 oz  Butter
4 oz caster sugar
2 egg
4 oz Rolled Oats
1 tbs Bicarbonate of Soda
1 tbs Golden Syrup
1 tbs Water

Method

Sift the flour and the soda into a bowl and mix in the oats.  Dissolve the butter, sugar and syrup in the water over a low heat and stir into the dry ingredients.

Put teaspoons of the mixture on a well greased baking sheet leaving room for the biscuits to spread.

Bake on the top shelf of the oven at 400F for 15-20 minutes.  Leave to cool for a few seconds and then transfer with a slice or palette knife to a wire rack to cool.

A popular favorite with my father as he needed his oats!
