Chocolate Desert

Ingredients
8 oz Chocolate
8 oz Butter or Margarine
2 Eggs
2 level dsp Caster Sugar
8 oz Digestive Biscuits
2 oz Chopped Walnuts
2 oz Glace Cherries (halved)
1 dsp brandy or rum

Method

Butter a 6" to 7" cake tin (with a detachable bottom).

Melt 8 oz plain chocolate in a bowl over boiling water.

Beat the eggs and add the sugar and pour in 8 oz melted butter in a steady stream stirring continuously.  Beat in the brandy or rum and the melted chocolate.

Break each of the digestive biscuits into twelve pieces and fold into the chocolate mixture.  Add the walnuts and cherries.

Place in a refrigerator and chill.
