Ingredients 16oz demerara sugar
1/3rd pint water
1 3/4 oz butter
2 level tbsp golden syrup
1 tsp vinegar
 

Method

Put all the ingredients into a strong saucepan.

Slowly bring to the boil and cook slowly until 150C or 300F on a sugar thermometer.

Pour onto a lightly oiled or buttered tin and allow to cool.

Break when set and cold.
